Design My Blog Banner Contest
I’m tired of getting razzed about my lame blog banner. And, yet, I don’t have the time or the talent to design something that’s better. With that in mind, I’m going to let you take a shot at it. If you design a blog banner that I end up using on my site, I’ll prominently link to your site and tell the world how artistically gifted you are. If enough quality submissions come in, I’ll rotate the banners and give everyone a shot at being famous…at least by tonymorganlive.com standards.
Here are the two guidelines:
- the banner has to be 940 pixels wide
- you have to include the domain name (tonymorganlive.com)
Winning banners will be featured on my site. Losing submissions will be mocked on my site.
Let the games begin.

Where do you want them submitted to?

I prefer simple Tony. I think you should keep it the way it is. You wouldn’t want too much color or fancy it up too much. Just use Times New Roman or Comicsans. It’s too hard to market “fancy”.
With at the amazing “talent” you boast about having on your team, I am surprised you have to “outsource” this???
Comic Sans? Please don’t. that is the typographic equivalent to blasphemy.
Tony, can we submit more then one? And do you want something that stays with the current gray color scheme or would you want something more colorful?
Of course, I have talent on my team. They’re allowed to play along as well. This is more fun, though, than assigning a task to someone on my team.
Yes, you may submit more than one banner.
And, notice that I got the original size wrong. I need 940 pixels (not 760).
Thanks to everyone who has already submitted their proposals. I’ve already received some serious offerings and side-splitting, make-me-laugh-out-loud offerings.
I hope you enjoy this as much as I think I will.

Why is “talent” in “quotation marks”, BR? Should I be offended?
Someone already asked, but I’ll ask again. Do you want more color? Also, I’ve always agreed with pretty much anything Jakob Nielsen says about web usability, and he suggests having your picture on the front page to promote credibility. Do you want that? If so, could you post some pictures to work with. Otherwise, I’ll just use a pic of Jeff Goldblum. Lastly, I’ve been reading your blog for a few months now, but not quite long enough to get a definite feel for your style, so I’ll ask you the question I always ask. If your blog was a restaurant, please describe which/what type of restaurant it would be.
