Today’s blog banner was submitted by Lisa from Granger Community Church in Granger, Indiana. I’m displaying it under protest.
Here’s the story. I used to get perturbed with several of the women at Granger who were fond of the teaching of Marcus Buckingham. This, of course, had nothing to do with the content of Buckingham’s message (which is quite good). They love Marcus because they perceive him to be good looking and because he has a British accent.
Call it man jealousy if you want, but I thought this was reprehensible. I think it’s completely inappropriate that women would fawn over a man because of his looks (and accent) rather than his brains.
That aside, for at least the next 24 hours, you can see the blog banner that Lisa submitted featuring the mugshot of Marcus Buckingham…British accent and all.
(By the way, Marcus, if you’re reading, you should really start blogging.)

you know we liked him for more than his good lucks and accent. that was just bonus. :)
hahaha…I love it! But you see…what makes him so great is the fact that he does have brains AND looks AND an accent. He’s a triple threat! ;)

Yes. And never mind that it looks like Marcus’ picture was taken of him behind the glass at a visitor’s booth at the state pen. He’s still a handsome man.

Ok, lump me in with the Granger girls. I too am a bit of a fan of Marcus. I’ve been know to refer to him with the three B’s – Beatiful, Brilliant & British. And I agree – why isn’t Marcus blogging?
