It’s been a wild ride the last several days…
- We announced this weekend that we’re doing a mailing to our community to promote the "Sex, Money and Power: The Man Series" on Easter. My guess is that’s going to generate some conversation in Anderson, South Carolina.
- Emily admitted she cried during the service today. It was a pretty moving service. We both love hearing the stories of people who have been transformed by Jesus through the ministry of NewSpring Church. (Who are the three people you are going to invite to Easter services?)
- Last I heard, there were less than a hundred spots left for Unleash. Here’s one fun fact… It sounds like we are making plans for parking nine charter buses. I love it that we have so many big groups coming from so many different churches.
- Perry got some big news this past week. I’m not going to spill the beans, but it’s big stuff.
- Part of that news involves something big for our entire church. Don’t you hate it that you have to wait for the big news? :-)
- Oh, and then I got some more bigger than big news on a completely different front today. Only I can’t tell you about that either. (This is fun.) All I’ll say is that we’re all about ready to get stretched way beyond our comfort level at NewSpring…and I think that’s the way God likes it.
- I was part of a group that headed up to Charlotte this morning to see Steven Furtick and the Elevation Church gang do their thing for Jesus. Unbelievable story. In only two years in two locations without their own facilities, they’re reaching about 4,000 people each weekend. That’s amazing!
- Finally, I’d like to thank Carolyn for submitting today’s blog banner. It’s one of my favorites that has been submitted in the big blog banner exhibition/competition. Carolyn is the media director at The Rock in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Definitely my favorite banner, including the one I submitted. The text gives it so much personality. And the look on your face is very playful/welcoming/real. But I don’t like the tag line “brainstorming how to help folks get unstuck” for some reason. I think it sounds a bit cocky.

Very hot banner, not my fave though. The teaching series sounds most excellent.
