(please pass this on to Lee as well) I found Lee's album on iTunes after the post in March. He's relatively unknown in the worship community at our church, but one song in particular really stuck out to me on my initial listen - "For Your Glory". That song has stuck with me for several months now, but we have never introduced it to our congregation.
This October I watched a mother and father bury their 12 yr old son. He was at our student ministry fall camp. He had a head-on collision with a large wooden structure while he was on the zip line. I was there.
It hit our church hard. He was believer, praise God. I had the honor of baptizing him a year ago.
So this week I will teach on John the Baptist. He was beheaded - in spite of all his obedience - for God's greater glory. We needed a song to capture God's sovereignty and the hope we have in Him even when we don't understand Him fully. "For Your Glory" came to mind. I suggested it to our worship leader. It's in our plan for Sunday.
I share this so you can know the reach of your ministry; so Lee can know the reach of his writing. God - in His sovereignty - gave Lee that song knowing full well it would be the right song for our body during this season of grief.
Thanks for all you do for the Kingdom.

I have a cardio workout playlist on my Ipod and until today, I don't think there was more than 2 CCM songs on it. Lee's music is incredible, and most, if not all, of the cuts were immediately added to that playlist. At the risk of really dating myself, Rich Mullins has always been my favorite Christian artist. It wasn't as much for his tune, but much more so for his lyrics. After a run-through of the entire album, I think Lee's lyrics are in that ballpark. "Love Is" was so moving I actually stopped for a few minutes to really concentrate on the words. We need more, much more of this.

Please pass my compliments on to Lee, and I'll look for more music to try from you in the future!
