i do think those things are becoming commonly sparse in westernized culture, but globally, some of those things are new technology. in both hotels we were in in africa, (both were 5-star) there were no landlines except one in the office of the first hotel.  newspapers are one of the most income-generating sources in the countries' capital cities, and a wrist watch would be something luxurious and extravagant.

so, westernized cultures - sure...but if you think globally, some of these items haven't even reached their peak of use.

so...yeah, my vote is hair! :)
