Don’t Call 1-888-PEDITRA

Some pathetic company obviously agreed that the Peditra commercial was pretty clever and would capture attention. We acquired Peditra.com to protect ourselves from the crudballs that would take advantage of that domain name, but we didn’t acquire all the variations of toll-free telephone numbers. Until yesterday morning, 1-888-PEDITRA wasn’t a functioning number. Today, magically, a company has acquired the number and used it to promote their disgusting business. The problem isn’t the 888 number, it’s the number that the message encourages you to call. In other words, don’t call 1-888-PEDITRA.

Great publicity for us though. I love it when our creative efforts generate controversy and stir up attention. That just means Perry’s going to have a bigger platform in the coming weeks to share a biblical message that’s specifically directed to men.

Tony – is there a lesson to be learned? I did check out peditra.com and saw that it was redirected to the YouTube video but didn’t call the number.

Would you think twice about including a phone number in a video or make sure that the number is owned by the church next time?
