<description>You knew numbers that I didn't know, Tim. But, honestly, what's most "stunning" about that news is that Willow paved the way for the model of having a weekend "seeker" service and a midweek "believers" service. Now, it appears, they're combining the two. That's a huge shift.

Hope we get to hear/read more about the thought that has gone into that change.

<description>I found the news about Willow's mid-week service quite predictable. It had gone from 8,000+ in attendance during the John Ortberg era to around 3,000 to 3,500 in recent months.

<description>When I worked for the American Cancer Society we found that (this was really before internet giving) if you sent people a request for money and they answered it you should give them the opportunity to give again with their thank you note. We would mail to many donors as many as 9 times a year and they would give all nine times. I hate to see non profits leave money on the table when people are passionate about a cause and have the money they will give. But they need information to make them passionate - vision!

<description>I just wrote (that was a lie--I'm in the middle of writing) a literature review about public relations, the internet, and nonprofit organizations. All the research I used supports the same thing that this article is about. Funny that the people who need support the most aren't making use of the best tool for getting it.
