Hosting Live Webcasts from Saddleback this Week
Here’s the scoop. I just confirmed with the folks from Saddleback that I will be hosting several live webcasts on Tuesday with speakers from the Purpose Driven Network Summit. Rick Warren is gathering 35 pastors from across the country, including Perry, to talk about ministry best practices. I’m not smart enough to be on one of Rick’s panels, but they’re letting me go behind the scenes to interview the folks that will be on the platform.
The other guys that are working with Saddleback to blog/webcast the gathering include DJ Chuang, Carlos Whittaker and Josh Griffin. The live webcasts will be hosted here on Ustream. I’ll feed you more details including times and the names of the people I’ll be interviewing as that information becomes available.
In the mean time, here’s a list of the guys that are participating in the event including folks like Mark Driscoll, Kerry Shook, Dave Ferguson, Mark Beeson, Jud Wilhite, Jonathan Falwell and Miles McPherson. It should be an interesting gathering.

My question would be:
How is it possible to gather 35 people to discuss ministry best practices without even 1 woman speaking ? Is this intentional ? If so, on what basis ?
Vulnerability is often an assumed leadership quality, but when does too much vulnerability compromise good leadership?
