I think every Twitterer (Tweeter?) needs TwitterFox. And as someone mentioned in a previous post’s comments, Adblock Plus is great at blocking annoying advertisements. I also have FireGestures because in my pre-Firefox days I used an IE-based browser with mouse gestures and loved that feature.

If you use Google Reader, the Stylish plugin plus Jon Hicks’ “OS X” theme is a nice combination.

The plugins I couldn’t live without are geared toward web developers:

    Web Developer Toolbar
    Firebug
    HTML Tidy Validator

If you are really into browsing securely, I also recommend NoScript.

The google docs sidebar one rocks as does piclens for viewing photos or video sites.

I used TwitBin for a while but prefer the Twhirl application now for a few reasons. I’ve been using Firefox 3 for a few days and like it – nice interface, faster browsing, and it’s very stable.

Oh Yeah! I totally love the tab effect. it serves no purpose, but adds so much to the experience. love it and use it.

I came here to recommend Mouse Gestures, but saw that Chad recommended All-in-one Gestures, which is essentially the same thing. It’s a bit weird at first, but it makes browsing much more efficient and I am completely addicted at this point (been using them for over 4 years). It works by allowing you to simply right-click and move your mouse to create a “gesture” that makes things happen in your browser, i.e. right-clicking and moving your mouse to the left is the same as clicking “back”. Who hits the “back” button these days?

And Tony, if you had a Mac you could enjoy the beauty of mouse gestures in any program you desire, not only while browsing, using xGestures. (Actually, I’m sure there’s something out there for Windows folks with gesturing needs.)

PDF download – people still have PDF pages on web sites…BOO! this downloads them instead of load them in a browser. Yippy!

Google Browser Sync is a must if you use the Fox on multiple computers. GTDInbox and Mouse Gestures are musts for me as well. I like All in One Sidebar for the download manager and bookmark access. Adblock Filterset.G updater is useful to keep Adblock as effective as possible.

Adblock Plus should just become a given for anyone with FireFox. Be sure to subscribe to the EasyList USA when you install it though (it asks after browser re-start) so you can basically install it once and forget it. Just remember there are a very few times when you have to turn it off for some webpages to work.
also i can’t live without Mouse Gestures, and when i went between multiple computers, google browser sync was a necessity. I still use it if i’m migrating to a new computer, or about to wipe my hard drive for a fresh install of windows or linux.

Dowload Satusbar – instead of a download window popping up, your downloads apear in the gutter of your browser. All the functionality of the window, with waaay less space.

someone already said it, but Foxmarks is a God-send (if God were in the business of making Firefox plugins). It syncs your bookmarks between multiple machines.

As the browser becomes my interface for the world (calendar, email, RSS, Google Docs, you name it), this becomes a more important feature… the same items at the top of each browser window regardless of the computer.

didn’t comment right away cause i thougt for sure someone would list mine right off the bat….

hyperwords – right click any word to google, wiki, email, blog… it’s awesome

fireftp – ftp right from your browser. i love this one. you can use it with flock too which makes flock just about the perfect browser in my opinion.
