NewSpring Multi-Site Video Technology

I’m trusting for the vast majority of people who follow this blog, you’re not going to want to watch this video. But, for the real techie geeks in the crowd, I’m about ready to make your day.

Earlier today, I had the opportunity to talk with Jared Barden (IT) and Jon McDerment (campus development) about NewSpring’s plans to get the live video teaching to the Greenville campus, Florence campus and beyond. Jared and Jon sat with me in the office and we recorded the entire webcast for the rest of you to check out. I’m sorry you weren’t there to participate in the live conversation, but at least you can watch the rerun.

To watch the video:

  1. Visit my Mogulus channel.
  2. Click the “on demand” button.
  3. Select the “live show” from June 3.

btw… When I record another broadcast in the future, what topics would you like hear?

Maybe its just me, but I can’t find the “On Demand” button. Where is it? Am I completely blind? Do I need to sign in first?

be patient. wait for the site to load. the “on demand” button will eventually be right of the “on air” button.

Hey Tony, what is the name of that equipment you guys were talking about ? I am on the production team at Oak Leaf Church in Cartersville and I am very interested in how you guys are going to do this.

    Thanks for this.

I honestly got more rpactical gear and process info in your 20 minutes than I have gotten from asking quyestions for the last few months.

Possible topic for another day. A typical Sunday service from conception to delivery and an how you keep all production areas on the same page.

Anybody else find the humor in what it said under the profile?
“Follow me when I’m not live at tonymorganlive.com.”

Is there a domain name change needed? :) tonymorgannotlive.com?

@Mark Garland – The box we are using is a HaiVision HAI1000 series with an SD and an HD encode/decode cards. The HD card caries our lockdown shot, the SD card caries our IMAG feed.

I’m an aspiring techie geek (lol), and I love this type of conversation. I would love for you guys to unpack some of the new creative ideas that may be brewing on how to use media to engage the new campuses.

I also agree with Ben Milstead; I would really love to get a closer look into the typical Sunday service from conception to delivery and how you plan to keep all production areas on the same page.

I’m very interested in the specific hardware/software and service providers you are using. You mentioned HaiVision and Do-Re-Me, would it be possible to post or email a complete list of hardware, software, and services you are using?

    Tony,

Thanks for the video! Sounds like you guys have a huge project on your hands! I appreciate the detail of the discussion. Look forward to the next session. Hopefully I can join it during the conversation.

Don’t mean to hijack the post. But, if you have HaiVision questions, I would be happy to help. ron@solutionsforworship.com
