Here are some of the lines from Perry’s message last Sunday that caught my attention:

  • “We’ve made knowing God’s will way too difficult.”
  • “You will never know the will of God apart from the Word of God.”
  • “He made us on purpose, and he has a plan for our lives.”
  • “No one is praying ‘give me more to do.’ We’re too busy to know God’s plan for our lives.”
  • “The reason why we don’t know God’s plan is that we have a casual relationship with him.”
  • “God wants us to know his will more than we do.”
  • “I’ve never seen anyone screw up their life trying to adopt the principles in God’s Word.”
  • “God doesn’t want our lip. He wants our loyalty. He wants our obedience.”
  • “God is saying: ‘I don’t want part of you. I want all of you, and then you will know my will.’”
  • “When I listen to the Word of God and I walk in the ways of God, I will discover the will of God.”
