Yesterday, Louie Giglio taught at our services…only he really didn’t. We used a video of a message he taught last fall. It was powerful. (Just in case you’re wondering, I’m convinced video teaching works when the video teaching is good.)

I know. I’m fortunate. I get to experience world-class teaching every weekend here at NewSpring. And, I know not everyone is wired to be a Perry Noble or a Louie Giglio, but everyone can communicate better.

Here’s what struck me about Louie’s message:

  • He basically used one verse. (John 16:33)
  • He told one story. (from a series of email messages he received)
  • He used one visual. (an anchor)
  • He addressed one felt need. (finding hope when life hurts)

Sometimes we make communications, ministry, life more complicated than it needs to be.

There’s power in simplicity.
