Get Your Strategy On
Yesterday I grabbed my Flip Video camcorder and invited Lee McDerment, worship leader at NewSpring, up to my office to chat. We covered a lot of ground in 20 minutes. Here’s the interview in two parts.
Lee’s recently released album, a Matchlight in the Dark, is available on iTunes, at CD Baby and at all NewSpring resource centers.
Tony Morgan is a pastor and the Chief Strategic Officer at NewSpring Church where he develops creative solutions for communications, technology and NewSpring Ministries--the church's ministry that equips other church leaders.

Oi! Thanks for posting this, but it seems like the second video cuts off a bit there.
Cheers!

What a great interview.
As a worship leader in a very similar situation to Lee’s early days at NewSpring, this interview was valuable for me. Thanks.

A nice peek in from the outside and a good way to “lower the stage” for NewSpringers.

He may what??? I was watching both videos and at the end of the second one Lee said that if you chase down God’s dreams as a worship leader for His church, He may…” then the video ended.
I guess I need to chase God down to find out what He may do.

I just love Lee’s attitude to worship, and his love of Gods Word. Like Lee says, everything else really is second to all this. Matchlight in the Dark is my favourite album at the moment, it rocks!
