Perry shared a powerful message today on the hope we have in Jesus Christ. Here are several thoughts he shared that grabbed my attention or made me laugh:

  • “Here’s the thing about trouble. We never see it coming.”
  • “God is so good.”
  • “That’s the reason I don’t have a NewSpring sticker for my car.”
  • “Bad things don’t happen to good people. The only thing wrong about that statement is the Bible.”
  • “When we focus on what causes us to be fearful, we will do crazy things.”
  • “That fear will control you.”
  • “My circumstances don’t alter his character.”

    Thanks to Perry for the reminders. I often times have to remember two things during any struggle that comes to me unexpectantly: 1) I know HE still loves me and 2) I know I can still trust HIM. I have to remind myself of that a lot lately.
