I think that church was featured in 'Jim and Caspar go to church'.. I can't recall the details except it sounded like it was pentecostal (I grew pentecostal).

One of the verses that you shared him stating (Philippians 4:13) is one that I think Christians take out of context a lot. I get the feeling that people are putting on their super man suits when they quote it. There is something to be said for context. Paul said this after he had mentioned that he knew the secret of being satisfied with a little or a lot. And that secret was Christ.

I may need to restudy the verse but it seems to me that the verse would be better served to say that "I can BEAR all things through Christ"... but I am not a Greek scholar so I have to trust others more in that area.

“I was so addicted to the dream of success that I lost sight of the purpose for which God called me.”

That, to me is frightening.

I've had the privilege of seeing Matthew Barnett several times. The guy's a powerhouse. Those are some great quotes.

Thanks for sharing.

“God is trying to make life better for you. He loves you.” - Im not trying to be a jerk, but sometimes in making life better for us, He chooses to take us through suffering, which doesn't seem like "better".

"One day my dream was too big to write on paper". I love this. It's exactly how I've been feeling lately. What an amazing God who can give us dreams that are bigger than our understanding, then give us the power to accomplish them.
