We launched Beautiful: a Series for Women and the Men Who Pursue Them today. It’s the first time we’ve ever done a series specifically targeting women. Needless to say, it was a hit. We had a record crowd at our Greenville campus and more than 10,000 people at all three campuses. Here are some of the lines from Perry’s message to women (and interested men):
- “With women, everything affects everything.”
- “You’re an imperfect person working with imperfect people. You’ll never have a perfect day at work.”
- Women are trying to find their identity in their appearance, home, kids, relationships, career and religion. “There’s one word to describe women who are doing this: tired.”
- “Culture is screaming at you: ‘You’re not good enough.’”
- “Why are you dating a crumb?” (You’ll need to watch the video of the message. Great illustration!)
- “Who are you going to let define you as a woman?”
- Women need to ask themselves: 1. “Who do I listen to?”, 2. “What does God think about me?, and 3. “Who will I live for?”
- Quoting Psalm 45:11: “The king is enthralled by your beauty.”
