Are You Waiting on God?

In yesterday’s message, Perry spent a few minutes talking about our need to obey God’s commands. He used a passage from the Bible and a little humor to demonstrate how silly it is that sometimes we use prayer and other spiritual disciplines as an excuse for not doing what God has told us to do. Are you waiting on God? Check out this video:

    Tony,

Thank you so much for posting this. Seriously I cannot tell you how much this topic and Perry’s teaching in this clip lights me up.

So many churches have an environment where prayer is constantly preached about and constantly used as a fail safe for everything. Don’t’ get me wrong, prayer has changed my entire life and I pray several times each day, but so many people and pastors USE prayer.

The Super and the Natural part of this video is just the bomb. Once again Perry destroys it. Dominate!

When asked to move a mountain, God often favors the prayer of a guy holding a shovel.

I thin Perry just came up with a new saying…“Doing the Natural”

    Right on! :)

Do what you can do and trust God to do what only He can do.

This is exactly what I am preaching to people. If we don’t God’s natural laws, the supernatural won’t kick in. It is when the supernatural has reached its limits that the supernatural takes over. Jesus is the Creator of this Planet. He is the author of every natural law imaginable. If we disobey the laws of nature, we disobey the Creator. If we disobey the Creator God, than prayer is not effective. If you build a house on the sand, prayer will not make it stronger.

Faith is always, where we know the destination (promise). In order to reach the destination (or fulfillment of the promise), we have to get moving. It does not take faith to receive something with effort. It does take faith to invest effort in order to receive something.

    God rules

Correction > first phrase ‘ If we don’t OBEY God’s natural laws, the supernatural won’t kick in’.
