Here are a few things that have caught my attention in recent days. You may want to check some of these out:
- I Am Second
- Check out the communication strategy Ben recommended for the auto industry CEOs. Glad my boss already communicates like this. It’s a lot easier to build credibility with your audience before the crisis hits.
- Dan Kimball had some interesting thoughts on missional churches.
- Check out Michael’s post on ooVoo for video chat. We’ve been using the web application at NewSpring.
- Seth is opening up an internship program. Wonder if anyone would consider coming to Anderson, South Carolina to do an internship with me and my creative team for 6 months…without pay.
- Zac wrote about our shift in IT strategy. Yes, we believe Macs and PCs can coexist. And, if you want my opinion, I think the shift to using Google for email, calendar, docs, etc. has made the Mac/PC shift a lot easier.
- Dabo Swinney, probably the best football coach we have attending our church, was named head coach at Clemson.
- Joshua shared a little bit about our web strategy. He said, “We opt for straight-forward accessible tools, not out-of-reach technology. We use a small team to pull off big ideas by leveraging existing knowledge, technology and friends.”
- And, last but not least, Nick, our Internet Pastor, started a blog. See if you agree. I think he even types with a British accent.
That’s my list. What did I miss?

Crossover for Mac has made Macs and PC’s coexist better as well. Frankly, we are considering moving completely away from PCs.
I would be interested in an internship…not sure about 6 months, but I would definetely be interested.
Tony,
I just did another Out of Ur post responding to Kimball’s article.
http://blog.christianitytoday.com/outofur/archives/2008/12/megachurch_misi.html
Basically, I affirm that megachurches are doing well according to the research but that church plants are also doing well. I know you are a fan of both. I think you are right though to be annoyed when the church planting folk (often in the name of “missional”) rip the megachurch phenomenon. I follow you on Twitter and your blog and have read Simply Strategic Stuff and was at a couple of your day seminars at Granger.
all the best,
