Not only are there times when we cancel church services for Christmas, we also cancel church services for football. Someone call CNN!

Just found out today that I’m going to be doing a breakout session in Dallas later this month with Bobby and Heidi. The topic will be technology, blogging and social networking. (Love those three subjects!) We’ll be doing the breakout on January 28 at the Innovation3 Gathering.

fyi… I’m also going to be live-blogging as much of the event as I can. I’m already doing typing exercises to make sure I’m in prime blogging condition to handle the onslaught of great content that I’ll be to consuming.

Last fall I started something I’ve never done before. I’ve been gathering with 10 guys once a month to talk ministry strategy. I gave up a day of my “weekend” to hang out with them. They made a time and financial investment to hang out with me. I tried to create a mentoring-type arrangement that allowed me to provide a more focused level of coaching than these guys could receive through my blog and other outlets.

With Perry’s stamp of approval, I launched my very first coaching network last September. And, based on the feedback from the 10 guys that have braved this initial journey, I’m leaning towards doing it again. The network will likely include 6 one-day gatherings over 6 months and meet at one or more of the NewSpring campuses. It’ll be limited to 12 participants and will likely begin in April 2009. Specific dates are yet to be determined.

A few weeks a ago I prayed for God to change someone’s life.

To be honest, I didn’t think God would do it.

Many people were praying.

It happened.

God answered.

God still performs miracles.

God hears us. (God hears me.)

I see it daily.

Why do I still doubt God’s power?

My faith is small.

I’m not proud of that.

But I’m still forgiven.
