Unfortunately, I’m hearing more and more stories of folks who find themselves in transition between ministry roles. If that’s you, I wanted to create a platform for you to share your resume for free.
Using Scribd, I started a new group called: “Looking for a Ministry Position?” Obviously, the more folks that start to upload their resumes, the better this resource will be for churches looking for people who might fill open positions. Know someone looking for a new role, encourage them to post their resume here.
If you’re a church leader and want to stay updated on new resumes posted, you can subscribe to this RSS feed. A link to the resumes is also included on the right sidebar of my site.
In the mean time, here are some current church jobs (student ministry, kid’s ministry, multimedia, etc.) that are open. Maybe you would be a fit with one of these positions?
I’ll provide the platform and get the word out. All you need to do is post your resumes.

Resume uploaded. Thanks for offering the platform.
Thanks Tony for providing another avenue to connect with churches and ministries. Going through some James 1 refining. Not fun but cannot wait (well I guess I have to) to see what He accomplishes through me and in me in this trial. Following you and Perry on twitter and your blogs have been some of my greatest encouragement over the past few months. God has given me a vision for what the church could be and should be and every week I see NewSpring fleshing out and fulfilling that vision. My goal is to either join the staff of a church with NewSpring’s DNA and throw everything I have into making the vision come to fruition or help a group of believers transition their church or start a new work. Thanks again Tony.
Thanks man. Fo Sho.
Tony, do you have any idea what the little number next to your name means on that Scribd group? Earlier mine had a 2 next to it..now it’s a 4. I couldn’t find in the FAQ anywhere what that little number meant. Thanks man.
Johnny
Johnny R, it’s the “number of viewers” that have viewed your page/doc.
Branford. Thanks. I should say “duh” cuz that makes sense. I appreciate it friend.
Went Scribd to check my resume and the number of views but got a message saying that the “The Scribd group Looking for a Ministry Position? [deleted] 73113 has been deleted by a group admin.” So Tony, did you take down the group?
If so all well and good. I had almost 200 views of my resume, and another friend had over 1500 views of his on your Scribd site, however neither one of us have received a single lead or call from it. I am starting to see that with the church it is not what you know or what you have done, it is who knows you and your connections. Still praying, waiting, and starting to see why so many with my ministry bent are planting churches rather than waiting for search committees to get around to making a decision.
bard, i deleted the group because someone spammed it with their propaganda.
