I like the general feel and layout, but it fills my entire large screen and, as a result, everything looks like it is designed for the elderly – fonts, images, titles. On the positive, I don’t need my glasses on when I check it out (*grin*)!!

@Josh Fully understandable, and I can see how that will definitely support the season he’s in. As someone who only hears from Tony only via the blog, it just seemed to minimize the actual blog content a bit.

Props on keeping it clean. Some designers don’t know how to handle separating content on sites, and it’s done well here. It will be beneficial for more parts of his ministry, and I’ve always dug Tony’s heart and message. As a designer it’s always about serving the client’s needs, and you guys have done it well.

@Gabe, Tony and I talked through some very specific ways that a redesign needed to function to better serve the season he’s in now. Blogging is one part of that, specifically highlighting the other value(s) he offers to churches and organizations was another. The redesign was about bringing a much-needed focus. So, yes, it’s all very intentional.

If I make a pretty website but it doesn’t solve the client’s problems in an elegant way, that’s a huge design failure on my part.

This is the 3rd project I've worked with Joshua on (Perry's blog, mine, and now yours), and I'd say we work pretty well together. Joshua is one of the few designers who "gets" web design (as opposed to print). And, as a developer, that's something I can appreciate a LOT.
