Bing Isn’t Very Bingy
Microsoft’s new search service, Bing, launched about a month ago. I was curious to see what kind of impact it has made on the traffic to my blog. Here are the stats from the last month for traffic referrals:
- Google – 58%
- Twitter – 25%
- Facebook – 11%
- Yahoo – 4%
- Bing – 2%
Needless to say, Bing has only made a small ripple so far. Google is still the search giant for my site.
What’s even more interesting to me is how much social networking sites are driving traffic. That’s another reminder of why it’s so important for individuals and organizations to be engaged in social media given where we are in today’s culture.
Unless, of course, you’re not interested in participating in today’s culture… That’s a topic for another post.

I still prefer Google to Bing, but I have to admit the interactive screen on Bing is very attractive.
It’s getting better.

But I’m still google all the way. Can’t compete. Google has too much to offer!
