Mylon Lefevre! My youth group used to travel all over the state whenever he would be in concert!
Trains Up In the Sky!
Pong…Silly String…Hacky Sack.
Man, it’s been a while since I’ve even thought of most of the things on that list, but it instantly flooded back a lot of memories. The comb in my back pocket was for my own feathered hair though. Hopefully no pictures will ever resurface :-). Times change fast. Great meeting you Wednesday night.
Right with you Tony – instead of a Tandy though, my family went with the Commodore Vic 20. Oh and you forgot Atari Space Invaders.
I remember all those too! I Loved Mylon back in the day. I was not able to make it to Catalyst this year but I had to laugh last year – all the young leaders had glasses with the same frames, the messy hair, and go-tees. I miss seeing them! I also miss hearing the great speakers!
Enjoy!
OMGosh What memories, and you are no where near “old” So there are many more in my storehouse…this opened my floodgates! wonder where Mylon is these days? Have a blessed Cat day.
I remember most of those too…funny stuff. My wife and I were looking through some pictures last night and I came across one with a guy rocking a Sony Walkman, wearing his headphones (we didn’t have earbuds back then) in class.
And dude, be real…that was your comb in your back pocket.
Funny! I remember about half of those things, so I guess I’m about half as old??? But boy they sure brought back memories!
Hey Tony. Woke this morning to see that we (the artists formerly known as Mylon and Broken Heart) made your “retro” list! Thanks…
Cat ‘10 I will be there with you, so at least there will be two of us who remember the things on your list :^)
Three television channels and 1 of those on UHF and you had to turn the dial. which means you only watch to the 2 on VHF.
Good Times.
uh-oh. you’re going to have to start live blogging from the willow leadership summit and not catalyst. :)
I’m 33, and rolled with Mylon all the freaking time as a kid. I now blame my parents for my music disfunction.
I miss Burger Chef.
I said “yup” to every item you listed. We’re all getting older, but we’re not old yet.
Blessings!
Yes, I remember all of those.
I also remember sleeping outside in the back yard under the stars – can’t do that any more.
Leaving our doors unlocked at night – not now.
My Dad climbing on the roof to turn the antenna for a better signal.
I miss some of those things.
Wow, what a bunch of memories that I share with you… especially Burger Chef! Do you remember their “15 cent” jingle- “For 15 cents, a nickel and a dime. At Burger Chef, you eat better every time…” Man, I’m getting old… Blessings!

Come on and Crack The Sky with me!
I miss going to the Illinois Christian Teen Convention!
LOL–good stuff!! Yup to all, except Mylon–but then again, not a real churched background here. And how did we ever get along with having to get up and actually turn the knob for those 3 TV channels too?! ;-)
