With Christmas just around the corner, I have to tell you that Killing Cockroaches is just what my momma needs this year. I’ve re-written the following song to express how important this is for her. I think we might even be able to make a Lifetime TV movie about it. If I win a book, you can have the royalties from the movie as a thanks for making my momma’s Christmas perfect.

Christmas Roaches

It was almost Christmas time
There I stood in another line
Trying to buy that last gift or two
Not really in the Christmas mood
Standing right in front of me
Was a little boy waiting anxiously
Pacing around like little boys do
And in his hands he held
A book about roaches

And his clothes were worn and old
He was dirty from head to toe
And when it came his time to pay
I couldn’t believe what I heard him say

Sir I wanna buy this book for my Momma please
It’s Christmas Eve and this book is just what she needs
Could you hurry Sir?
Daddy says there’s not much time
You see, we’ve had roaches for quite a while
And I know this book will make her smile
And I want her to look beautiful
If Momma sees a roach, tonight.

He counted pennies for what seem like years
And cashier says son there’s not enough here
He searched his pockets franticly
And he turned and he looked at me
He said Momma made Christmas good at our house
Though most years she just did without
Tell me Sir
What am I gonna do?
Some how I’ve got to buy her this roaches book

So I layed the money down
I just had to help him out
And I’ll never forget
The look on his face
When he said Momma’s gonna look so great.

I knew I caught a glimpse of heavens love as he thanked me and ran out.
I know that God had sent that little boy to remind me
What Christmas is all about

We just moved to D.C. and they have these crazy spider cricket things, I think a book on killing cockroaches would be very helpful.

I am certainly not a lyricist like Tim Hart, but I need this book. I have told my wife countless time that I run around my workplace with two fire extinguishers to put out all the fires. I know that this is dirrectly related to my boundaries but I am having a tought time coming up with the tools as to equipe those around me so the fires don’t begin in the first place. I will just have to buy the book if I don’t win. Ahhhhhh….. such is life. Haven’t read it yet but thank you.
