I recently had the distinct privilege of interviewing Joseph Michelli, the author The Starbucks Experience. Last month, I finished Joseph’s book and posted highlights from my reading. Interestingly enough, I found out in our conversation that Joseph’s wife is in ministry. It was fun to hear his take on how some of the principles in The Starbucks Experience applied to churches.

As one formerly employed by Target I can tell you that I brought much of my “brand” training with me when I left and transferred some of it to our Sunday morning environment.
I think that if the church is truly seeking to engage culture that we must learn a few things from the organizations that are getting it right with people.
Red carpets don’t really bring them in anymore.
