Exponential 2010: Matt Chandler
Matt Chandler shared these thoughts at Exponential this morning:
- You constantly have to preach the Gospel to yourself.
- The Gospel is this thing that we are constantly in need of.
- God is working a plan here that’s much bigger than you or me.
- God is doing exactly what God said he was going to do. And he was doing it long before you arrived.
- God is at work. The church doesn’t need to be save.
- The church needs faithful men and women who will preach the Gospel out of a pure heart.
- Church planting isn’t a new thing.
- Acts 2 went really well and then there were the Corinthians.
- Your call is to Christ first and then to his mission.
- Your transformed by pressing into Him and not be doing the mission.

Do you know if they are having live or video online of the speakers?
Man, that’s the thing that I love about Matt Chandler…the guy is tried and true. There’s really not a whole lot more you can add to ministry outside of the Gospel, if anything. Thankfully, seems to me that the church as a whole is making a return to that simplicity.
I wasn’t there so I’m just curious…Did you think Matt’s comment about Acts 2 was made in reference to what Louie said just before him?
Matt Chandler is just awesome. A serious mouthpiece for God.
@Jordan, Yes I’m sure “Acts 2 went really well and then there were the Corinthians” it was because of what Louie said. But I doubt there was any negativity in the comment or correction… My guess is that he was just saying it as part of the Tension of ministry, and Christianity for that matter, that we deal with every day.
