Video Resources for Smaller Churches

Had a church planter friend of mine direct message me on Twitter today asking about video resources for smaller churches. He’s looking for ways to incorporate media into his message. Here are the links I shared with him:

Open LifeChurch.tv

WorshipHouse Media

Creation Swap

Movie Clips

Open LifeChurch.tv is the only site I’m aware of that provides 100% of its videos for free. Both WorshipHouse Media and bluefish.tv will charge a minimal fee for their resources. Creation Swap doesn’t have videos, but you can use that site for free graphics. Finally, Movie Clips is a great free option for search movie scenes by topic.

Wing Clips (sort of like Movie Clips), they offer free and paid video clips from movies and some offer study guides with the video: http://www.wingclips.com/

I would definitely have to go with Vintage Churches Free Resources:

But after all, I am a little biased.

Definitely try my buddy Hunter at HBM Creations. Seriously good work and you name your price. http://www.hbmcreations.com

It was created with youth in mind, but http://www.room1228.com has some great videos available in their theme packages.

http://www.Vimeo.com is great. If you create an account a lot of the mega churches let you download their media. There are also channels for the best church videos.

Have some great resources here. Going to check out CreationSwap and several of the others for song slide background resources (ones we can legally use for free). Thank you for sharing these I look forward to checking them out. Can’t think of any others to add to the list but if I think of any I’ll bring them here.

If you are looking for worship training resources http://members.worshiptraining.com/ has some good stuff. There is a free option as well as a priced option. More on training and charts then other things.

    Tony,

Though they may not be church-specific, there are lots of stock video and photo sites that have content that can work in a church setting. iStockPhoto.com has very inexpensive stock photos, but also has a great selection of videos available in various resolutions at reasonable prices (usually about $25 for a standard-def file). Also, signing up for emails from companies like iStock, digitaljuice.com, or pond5.com also alerts you to their frequent freebie give-aways. I have a collection of freebies I save to an external hard drive that’s grown quite large over the years.

Our church, cor.org, doesn’t yet have a browsable website with media content, but usually when we produce a sermon package, we do a generic version for other churches to use and will share it with them for free if they ask.

FYI, CreationSwap will be adding videos in the near future.

I was wondering if that would be the case. Thanks for sharing that update.

To get free graphics sometimes all you need to do is sign up for a digital newsletter. I get a weekly free download from MotionLoops and about 1 a month from Artbeats. I also get random free downloads from other distributors. In December Worship House media did the 12 days of Christmas with a free download each of those 12 days.

Try shiftworship.com for jumpbacks, countdowns, mini movies, and stills. An All Access Pass is $149/year with unlimited downloads. I grabbed a 12-month subscription last year at Echo for $99 that is renewable at that price.

I’m sending this link to my media guy right now! Thanks
