7 New Job Openings at Great Churches
Last month I mentioned the new partnership between Help Staff Me and Vanderbloemen Search Group. Where the Vanderbloemen Search Group has focused on executive searches for primarily top staff positions, the team is now equipped to also help churches with mid-level staff roles.
With that in mind, we’re excited about working with these churches, and believe that they represent opportunities for candidates to work in vibrant, growing settings. If you or anyone you know is interested in further discussing these opportunities, you can confidentially upload your resume or email Ben.
- EastLake Church is a multi-site church with 5,800 weekly attendees. Located in San Diego, California, Eastlake is looking for an Associate Worship Pastor who is proficient in worship leadership (vocal, guitar preferred) as well as volunteer recruiting for all aspects of weekend services.
- Journey Church is a non-denominational, multi-site church in Norman, Oklahoma with over 4,000 weekly attendees that is searching for a new Director of Media. Primary job responsibilities are: driving the creative process for weekend worship services and developing strong leaders within the ministry.
- Radiant Church in Surprise, Arizona is a growing congregation of over 5,000 weekly attendees. Radiant is searching for a new Connections Pastor who is flexible and able to adapt to the constantly growing (and hence changing) structure of the church. The successful candidate should be a credentialed minister in the Assembly of God and able to grow the groups commensurate with the growth of the church. (I’m a big fan of Lee McFarland, the senior pastor!)
- Alexandria First Assembly of God in Alexandria, Virginia is looking for a new Worship and Fine Arts Pastor to promote the vision and direction of the Senior Pastor through creative elements for weekend worship. The successful candidate should be fluent in all aspects of music, both vocally and instrumentally, in order to communicate the Word of the Lord in a fun and entertaining way.
- Casas Church in Tucson, Arizona is searching for a new Director of Preschool Ministry who can build strong relationships with their volunteer staff, the children and most importantly the children’s parents. The successful candidate will need to ensure the preschool ministry grows proportionately with Casas Church as a whole.
- Evangel Church in Columbus, Mississippi is searching for a new Youth Pastor with a future focus of initiating a College ministry. The job is positioned for growth from youth ministry, to college, and ultimately to a “next gen” ministry position.
- Northwest Chapel in Dublin, Ohio is searching for a new Director of Children’s Ministries. The successful candidate will be versed in the most relevant and contemporary techniques and curriculum being used to grow children, involve parents and take faith into members’ homes.
The economy still may be tight, but what we’ve noticed is that healthy churches are still growing and hiring. These are some great examples.
I partner with The Vanderbloemen Search Group, a retained executive search firm, to help churches find their key staff. I’m frequently helping large, fast-growing churches with a focus on reaching the unchurched. If your church needs assistance in this sort of search, feel free to contact me.
