NewSpring Prepares for Local Missions Project

Later this week, NewSpringers will be participating in a local missions effort to provide shoes, socks, backpacks and school supplies to almost 1,500 elementary school students in the region. Last year, NewSpring was able to assist students at one local elementary school. This year we will be providing shoes to three schools in Anderson and one school in Greenville.

Earlier today, I grabbed some video of the volunteers preparing for Wednesday’s distribution effort:

In case you’re interested, the money to fund this missions project was generated from NewSpring’s GameTime campaign. That campaign started in 2007 to raise money for launching new campuses throughout the region and to expand our student and children’s ministries at the Anderson campus. 10% of contributions to that campaign have been designated for missions projects. If you’d like to participate in GameTime, you can donate online.
