I shared this on Twitter last night, but Emily and I will be celebrating our 20th anniversary later this week. (More on that later.) We were eating lunch with all four of our kids yesterday, and the topic of our anniversary came up. Emily and I started talking with the kids about the intentional things we do to work on our marriage.
Through our conversation, I suggested to Emily that we should make a list of ways couples can intentionally improve their marriages.
At that point, our 13-year-old son spoke up. He said he already knows the first two things that should be on that list:
“First of all, the man needs to learn how to read minds. Secondly, he must acknowledge that his wife is right, even when she is wrong.”
Who knew 13-year-old boys could be so smart? :-)
