How To Make Your Sermon Series Worth Talking About

Someone probably attended one of your services this weekend because a friend invited them. Invitations are a big deal; therefore, the conversations that precede these invitations are also a big deal. What intentional steps are taken by your creative team to help generate conversations worth talking about?

When something is the same, it doesn’t make headlines and it doesn’t generate crowds. If something is creative and outrageous, people talk. This leads to friends inviting friends to check out what is happening.

Capturing people’s attention involves planning. It doesn’t just happen.

This week, my friend Phil Bowdle shared an excellent post on the series planning process. He included some really good series planning templates and even took time to share some next steps for churches without a creative arts or communications person on staff.

It’s time for you to start generating some conversations worth talking about.
