Creating Culture: An Interview with Matthew Cork

0

A healthy staff culture starts with the senior leader.

I recently talked with a new friend of mine, Matthew Cork of Friends Church in Yorba Linda, California, who is leading an incredibly impactful ministry. Of everything that impressed me about this church when I was with them, I was most impressed with Matthew’s leadership as I observed the healthy staff team culture they’ve built—something I see too rarely.

In this conversation, I talked with Matthew about the steps he took to build a healthy culture among his staff. Check out the conversation and a few highlights below:

In this interview, we discuss:

  • How to lead change in the staff culture

  • The “We Not Me” mindset

  • Intentional steps to take to build trust and leadership

  • The #1 most important aspect of creating a positive team culture
