All Leaders Have a Measure of the Gift Given by God
I posted this snapshot on Instagram a few months back with this caption:
You can’t make disciples or equip leaders without any one of these components. Churches, of course, routinely lean on only teaching.
Think about it. Seminary teaches you about how to preach, but not how to lead. Leadership books and podcasts teach you how to lead, but don’t coach or mentor you.
All leaders have a measure of the gift given by God. But as I’ve written about the leadership pathway before, there are different competencies required to lead at higher and higher levels.
To lead an unstuck church, you can’t neglect the gift God has given you. This model of learning, watching and practicing is biblical, and it works.
This is why I still offer leadership coaching networks. It’s one of the best ways I’ve found to help equip pastors to lead at the next level.
Yes, you will learn best practices from healthy, growing churches, but you will also begin applying them in your church environment from day one. And my team and I will coach and mentor you as you do.
I have space for a few more churches in my Spring 2018 groups, and there are just two more weeks to apply. I hope you’ll consider joining us.
